SWFL announces final try-outs for summer teams

Southwest Florida Baseball will hold final try-outs for the summer travel season on May 2nd at Terry Park in Fort Myers. SWFL Baseball is a nationally recognized travel baseball program with a long history of college and professional placement.
SWFL will also run a make-up try-out for those that cannot attend on Saturday. They make up try-out will be Monday May 4th at Ft. Myers American L/L. Check in time is 6:30 at Ft. Myers American/Sam Fleishman park.
Spots will be limited for the 15U, 16U, 17U and Underclass teams that were filled after the Pro’s Select Collegiate clinic in January but player openings do remain. “We still need a few players and if we have enough players to fill another Underclass team, we’ll form another team” said Clint Montgomery Vice President of SWFL Baseball. “The toughest part will be getting enough pitching to fill another team.” SWFL Underclass teams are comprised of 2016 and 2017 players and will have a tough 17U schedule.
SWFL will also run an 18U team this summer. The 18U team will play in 3 tournaments. Seniors are welcome to try – out for this team.
The try-out will consist of running the 60 yard dash, batting practice and infield/outfield. Players need to register by Friday May 1 at 12 noon at www.swflbaseball.com
Registration cost for the try-out is $50. Saturday walk up registration is $75 cash. No Refunds given

8-8:30: Position player check in
8:40: Stretch and flex
9am: 60 yard dash
9:30: Batting practice
10:45: Infield/Outfield
11am: Pitcher only check in
11:30: Pitcher only bullpens or live BP
